William Joseph Schaldach (1896-1982) was a writer on art and outdoor sporting, editor for Field and Stream, and most notably an important American wildlife artist. The book offered here is beautifully bound in full vellum with a gilt vignette of a trout rising to a mayfly on the front cover. In addition to the original art of the frontispiece, there are 60 full-page reproductions of Schaldach's fish art.
