Philadelphia: Campion and Co, 1904. First edition. Hardcover. Ex-Library. 1904. First edition. Hardcover, 8vo. in maroon cloth with gilt title. 303pp. with frontis of Smith and illustrations. Very minor ex-library, with only one stamp on the rear pastedown. Wear to spine ends. Contents are clean and unmarked. Housed in protective mylar. The document, written and signed by PA House of Representatives and Supreme Court member Thomas Smith in 1781, details the wages he was receiving for his services as delegate to the Continental Congress from state treasurer David Rittenhouse. Document housed in mylar and accompanied by a note from the previous owner, who paid $10 for it in 1958 and believed that to be too much. Digital images available upon request.
