The jacket is attractively designed with Truett's photo, silver background, white and black blend of design. There are 15 messages included "sent forth just as Dr. Truett wrote them." They"depict the joys and sorrows through which the world was passing each successive year during the period 1929-43, with the reactions of a great heart to the changing times." A treasure for the collector of Baptist memorabilia.This designated as the second printing with the first printing stated as done in 1945. There was a smaller Moody edition also done in 1945; this is the larger Eerdman's edition.
