The book creates a vivid portrait of ranchers, cowboys and Native Americans in the West of 1886. The story is centered on the Circle C Ranch in the pioneer days of cattlemen in Montana. The book has many photos and a fold out plate of Charles M. Russell's 'Roping a Calf' depicting the two sons and their cattle. Russell was a visitor to the ranch. Mylar cover over dust jacket
