Char Miller is an environmental historian, a professor at Pomona College, and the author of more than a dozen environmental book on subjects as diverse as Death Valley, Hetch Hetchy, water policy and controversy, and a lot more. He is a fellow of the Forest History Society. A nice association in light of the subject, and a book described as a "masterful biography," the first of Pinchot in four decades. Blurbs by Jack Ward Thomas (former Forest Service Chief) and Carolyn Merchant.
