Moylan, Pa.: The Rose Valley Press, 1974. This charming Christmas story is bound in gray paper covers with a crimson ribbon and a small cover illustration of the titular Faun playing his flute. This is one of several Christmas booklets produced by Walter Kahoe (with occasional assistance from his wife Mildred) under his Rose Valley Press imprint. After moving to Philadelphia in 1940 and joining the medical department of J.B. Lippincott Co., Kahoe began The Rose Valley Press, printing and binding several hundred little books as Christmas presents. The press did non-Christmas books as time permitted. This "Faun's Christmas" is retold from Patrick Chalmers' longer story, "The Little Pagan Faun." Aside from some very mild cover soil, this little book is in very good condition and would make a charming gift. Gus Uhlmann's expressive black-and-white drawings appear throughout. Book is about 4"x5". Soft Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Gus Uhlmann.
