Two vintage photographs from the 1966 film, one color studio still photograph of Victoria Shaw and Patrick O'Neil and one borderless black and white test photograph of Janice Rule. Based on the Confederate "Beefsteak Raid" of 1864 during the Civil War. William Holden is an expatriate cattleman in Mexico during the Civil War who supplies the Union with cattle until Confederate Colonel Rossiter, played by Richard Widmark, kidnaps the cattleman, leaving him little choice but to cooperate with the Confederacy. Set in Petersburg, Virginia, shot on location in Baton Rouge and Clinton, Louisiana. 8 x 10 inches. Light toning to the extremities of the black and white photograph, else Near Fine.

Los Angeles and London: Twentieth Century-Fox, 1958. Collection of four and two double weight vintage black-and-white still photographs from the 1958 US film. Two stills are from the UK release, with seller stamps on the versos. Based on the novel of the same name by Irwin Shaw, set during World War II, this largely antiwar film follows two American soldiers played by Clift and Martin and a Nazi soldier played by Brando, as they experience the various trials and hardship of war, including the discovery of a concentration camp and antisemitism from both sides. Shot on location in Germany, France, and San Diego, California. 8 x 10 inches (the UK stills are slightly smaller). Two vintage studio still photographs from the set of the 1965 neo-noir, one of director Edward Dmytryk and actors Gregory Peck and Walter Matthau, and the other of Dmytryk, Peck and Robert H. Harris. Mimeo snipe on verso of both photographs. Based on the 1952 novel "Fallen Angel" by Howard Fast. David Stillwell (Gregory Peck) is an accountant who comes to realize he has no memory as he is pursued by a number of unknown people trying to kill him, bringing him to question his own identity. Bruxelles: Columbia Pictures, 1955.. Original poster for the French language version. Mounted on cardboard. 53 x 35 cm. Parfois maladroite, notamment dans sa présentation des personnages, cette œuvre vaut surtout pour sa dernière heure, proprement bouleversante sans être mélodramatique, et pour son interprétation haut de gamme. Le fade Van Johnson y trouve ici son meilleur rôle, lui qui fut toujours voué aux compositions de gentils garçons insouciants, tandis que Peter Cushing se révèle terriblement touchant en cocu magnifique, fonctionnaire ennuyeux et conscient de l’être. The first of two Clark Gable films produced by Twentieth Century-Fox, with Gable as an American mercenary, running a successful smuggling operation in and out of Hong Kong. Gable is hired by Susan Hayward, who hopes to locate her missing husband, a photographer (Gene Barry). One with a mimeo snipe affixed to the verso along with a Columbia Pictures stamp, the other with a RKO Radio Pictures stamp on the verso. A severely mentally ill delivery man struggles with his irrational hatred of women, and begins venting his rage by killing women from a distance, using a M1 carbine. One of the most minimal and exciting noirs of the 1950s, and Edward Dmytryk's first return to directing after his long tenure on the Hollywood blacklist. Shot on location in San Francisco. A tale of the destruction that obsession can cause, about a German high school teacher who falls for a traveling showgirl, marries her, and is then shunned by his community, slowly losing all of his dignity. 10 x 8 inches.
