W & R Chambers, 1956. Hardcover. Acceptable/Acceptable. 1956. First Edition. 96 pages. Signed by the author. Pictorial dust jacket over blue cloth. Author dedication signature to front pastedown. Black and white illustrations throughout. Pages are mostly clean overall, with moderate tanning throughout. Mild cracking to hinges. Slight crinkling to paper at gutters, however binding remains firm. Illustrations are bright and clear, with some light tanning and foxing to edges. Thumb-marking present throughout. Boards have slight edge wear with corner bumping. Mild tanning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Unclipped jacket repaired with tape to insides. Panels have moderate edge wear with chips, tears and creasing. Tape marks to both panels. Black marks overall.

Bradley's own copy with her pencil ownership Signature, address, and note ("Artist's Complimentary Copy from Publishers"), as well as her signature in ink on the title page. Additionally this copy is Inscribed by the other artist, D.F. Levitt Bradley, in 1947. Affixed to the front pastedown is a newspaper clipping of an article by the artist's father, and a photograph of his library.
