This is the hardcover only stated Whitman Edition from 1940. Other than a name on the inside cover and covers to flyleaves could use a bit of reinforcement (fully intact!), both the cover and the book are in very good condition. There are no rips, tears, markings, etc. and the pages and binding are tight.Very Good

The true first printing; scarce thus. "For Your Eyes Only is a collection of short stories by the British author Ian Fleming, featuring the fictional British Secret Service agent Commander James Bond. It marked a change of format for Fleming, who had previously written James Bond stories only as full-length novels. The collection contains five short stories: "From a View to a Kill", "For Your Eyes Only", "Quantum of Solace", "Risico" and "The Hildebrand Rarity". Four of the stories were adaptations of plots for a television series that was never filmed, while the fifth Fleming had written previously but not published. The pages are yellowed around the edges. The page edges have some mild foxing. The cover has light wear and bumping to the edges. The dust jacket has some tears and chipping that have been tape repaired. The dust jacket has some light rubbing and also has some soiling specifically around the back.

This is a 1960 First Edition hardcover book with 218 pages. The binding is strong with all pages firmly attached. The pages are clean with no soiling, writing, or tears. The copyright and title page show 1960 as the published date (no other dates or printings shown). There is a price of $3.50 on the DJ flap. The dust jacket is also in great shape with just a hint of edgewear (No Chips). I have placed the DJ in a fresh mylar jacket and this old book looks and feels great! We always ship in a sturdy cardboard box!

Cloth shows some foxing on the yellow section, a hint of foxing to endpapers. Still a nice near fine copy in bright very good+ dustjacket with some foxing mostly on the inside and mild edge wear. ; Octavo.
