Dust jacket has shelf wear, closed tearing of varying sizes and degrees, some creasing, rubbing, and a library identification sticker on the spine. Text block has some pencil writing on copyright page and dedication page gutter. NOTE: Shelved in Room A. 1372950. Special Collections.

Macmillan Company, 1961. Hardcover. Good. Large, heavy hardcover. Faded dust jacket. Chipped with creased corners, rubbed and soiled on back of DJ. The fading to the spine is quite significant. The DJ is now protected with a mylar archival jacket. Lower corner edges of text block have thumbprint staining. Binding is in good shape. No twisting. Solid. Yellow paper cover boards with blue cloth spine have minor denting of corners, and spine ends. Gilt titling is a little rubbed, but gilt is still fairly bright.

Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains.
