Pages are clean, photo illustrations are clear black and white images with no bleeding or smearing. Spine is intact with no cracking or splitting. Pending is paper covered boards. Some acid stains inside back cover due to acidic binding glue, title page and first blank page are smudgy on edges.some chipping top and bottom of spine and normal rubbing on bottom cover edge. Top and side of covers have no rubbing. Slightly bumped corners. Overall in good plus condition. Beautiful catalog of bindings by the Lakeside Press, a company formed in 1921 with a standard of doing simply the best that could be done. From the foreword, this book was made to represent their progress up to this point, and includes good reference for binding terms and styles.
