Small 8vo (17cm). pp. 75, 84, 98, 86. Very Good/No jacket, as issued. Light edge and corner wear, caps chipped, light overall page toning. Small bookseller ticket: Heinrich Jaffe, Munchen. Wagner spent over 20 years on the libretto and music to be performed in four nights for a total of about 15 hours. First full performance in 1876 at the Bayreuth Festival continues to this day..

Hardcovers are good with tight binding and clean pages, except for the previous owner's name written on the first front fly page of each volume. Dust jackets are worn around the edges with small tears. Both dust jackets are now protected in mylar. Leaf ends are foxed and slightly discolored from age. Light shelf ear to the bottom edges of the cloth board covers and spine. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
