Written and illustrated by famous horseman and artist C. W. Anderson. First edition. The book does show its age. The light green fabric is splitting along the front edge of the spine (see photo). As the book is longer than it is tall, the cover has been bent in three places (two front, one rear). Fabric is worn through at the corners. The binding is fairly solid and the pages are tight and unmarked. All illustrations by the author, including the illustrated endpapers. A rare and highly valued book.
