London: Hutchinson & Co., 1949 First edition in hardcover lacking the dust jacket. The spine and boards show some scuffing, light soiling to the edges, botth pastedowns have small tape scuffs, name on the front endpaper. Good.

Boards have light edgewear with corner crushing and notable marking to boards. Mild sunning to board edges and spine, which has mild crushing to ends. Book has forward lean. Notable mottling to surfaces. Clipped jacket has heavy edgewear with some areas of loss, heavy tears, chips, and creasing. Notable foxing to surfaces. Mild tanning to spine. Light rubbing and marking all over.

GB: The Book Club, 1946. Clean tight text is quite heavilybtonwe and spotted at margins and edges. Nice bright covers. Mostly clean mostly entire DW has slight internal magic tape repair. Book and dustwrapper/dustjacket are in very good minus condition with minor but noticeable signs of wear and/or age. . Reprint. Hardback. VG-/VG- DW.
