Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and sunning. Book has noticeable backward lean. Boards are slightly bowed. Unclipped jacket has light edge-wear with minor tears and chipping. Moderate tanning and creasing, with rubbing and marking.

Cassell and Company Ltd, 1908. Hardcover. Good. 1908. No edition remarks. 322 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with gilt lettering. Pages have mild tanning and moderate foxing throughout. Notable cracking to hinges, with exposed netting. Moderate tanning to endpapers. Boards have light edgewear with corner crushing and notable marking to boards. Mild tanning to board edges and heavy to spine, which has mild crushing to ends. Mild water stains and droplets to boards and spine.

Cassell, 1908. Hardcover. Good. 1908. 322 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with gilt lettering. Pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with light foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn with slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are a mildly crushed, with small splits and chips.

Cassell, 1908. People's Library edition. 322pp, black cloth covered boards, with light marks, paper label. Art nouveau design to title page. Internally clean.. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket.

William H.Robinson, 1111. Hardcover. Acceptable. No Edition Remarks. 382 pages. No dust jacket. Brown cloth boards with gilt lettering. Hinges and gutters are slightly cracked with exposed netting. Clean pages with noticeable tanning and foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Pencil markings to front free endpaper. Top textblock edge dyed gilt. Binding remains firm. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Gilt lettering is darkened. Minor sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Minor splits to spine ends and corners causing cloth to be frayed. Visible wear marks to boards.

Miles & Miles, 1111. Circa 1897 - dated from school prize label on the inner board. 382pp, dark green cloth covered boards with gilt title. Paper now browning a little with age, otherwise internally clean.. Hard Cover. Fine/No Jacket.

GB: Everyman's Library (Dent/Dutton), 1938. Red cloth lettered in gold on spine (no decoration). Red "Fiction" DW has black and white "rosette" signed ER on front cover. Rear cover states "OVER NINE HUNDRED/950/960/970/980 VOLUMES". Clean tight book is a bit bent. Dw bit worn along top edge. . Reprint Thus. Hardback. G++/G++ DW.
