Pages are moderately tanned throughout. Occasional foxing. Minor dog eared corners. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. There is bumping to corners and crushing to spine ends with splits. Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a slight forward lean.

This was the first story attempted by Dickens in which he dealt with life and scenes other than his own time. He finished this book in 1841, and he was very pleased with his work which takes place in 1780's.

New Edition. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" Tall. small format with a soft red leather binding with gilt titles, spine is sunned. endpapers are dark brown, top page edges are gilt. Binding very good and pages bright and clean. A very good copy indeed..
