Bound in red cloth, with protected clipped dw, new introduction by K S S Train, b/w frontis, "Stapleford Cross", 11 b/w plates, 1 map, 344pp.In the book is a brief introduction summary of the early history of the county but the book essentially begins with the Roman occupatipn and ends with the passing of the Reform Bill in 1832. The last important event to be described being the burning of Nottingham Castle in October 1831.

A few minor thumb marks, and ticks in pencil to a handful of other pages. Binding is tight and strong. The green cloth boards have a few small white marks, corners and top and bottom of spine are a little rubbed, but all is neat and tidy. A good copy of a scarce volume. Alas no dust wrapper.
