Illustrated with photos. Laudatory, Tammany-encouraged account of the grand European tour of one of New York's most colorful political characters, flamboyant Jazz Age era Mayor James J. Walker. A tight copy with gilt still genearlly bright, a small chip and scuff to the spine photo and with a ragged top corner of the rear board.

Limited edition of 1200 copies, of which this is number 749. Black cloth boards with paper label on front and spine. Exterior shows some spotting and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear. Top and bottom edges of front and rear boards both have some dents near the center and rear board shows fade spots as does the spine. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues though some of the pages with photographs are starting to loosen. Black and gold end pages and front and rear are free of any bookplates or library markings. Only handwriting found in book is on the limited edition page which bears the authors handwriting and signature.
