Some off-setting of plates onto adjacent pages. General mild to moderate foxing throughout as is usual. (See photos). This is the first American edition from the second London edition. A first printing of the American edition was published a year before, in 1816. 108pp. John Bell (1763-1820) was a prominent Scottish anatomist and surgeon, the older brother of Sir Charles Bell, also of significant importance in the history of medicine and surgery.
