London, U.K.: Sunday School Union Not dated, gift inscription on the ffep dated 1899. Red cloth with stamped illustration, titles and decorations. Gilt spine titles. Spine ends crimped. Tips and bottom edges bumped. Foxing throughout. Serious damp stain on the back board aroud 1/2 inch wide on two edges. Light color bleed on to the fore edge, but no other moisture damage obvious. Light foxing and a few small blemishes on the cover and a tiny pimple on the spine.. 2nd Edition. Hard Cover. Fair. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.

Boston Ma.: Houghton Mifflin and Company, 1889 Moisture damage and therefore visible bare spots on the front and back cover. Back cover about three inches square. Interior light damp stain intrudes about 1/2 inch and there is no damage to the text, but the pages are slightly wavy. Top and bottom of spine are well worn, more so at bottom. Corners worn. Crayon writing on the ffep, name and address.. Hard Cover. Poor/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

The book is not dated, but the new preface is 1831, and there's a gift inscription on the decorated endpapers dated 1899. Pages are browning and somwhat brittle. The book has wear at the extremities and the tips are bumped and starting to fray with the board exposed at one corner. The bottom of the spine has a tiny tear and light wear.. Reprint. Hard Cover.
