Pp. 87 + 29 ads, frontis port. with tissue guard, 12mo format, original decorated endpapers, original grey linen with black and red decorations with illustration of the author performing a card trick. A superb Nearly Fine original copy with no repairs, no owner's markings, no noticeable wear or fading to cloth. Only minor flaws are some age-darking to the edges of the text block, slight foxing to endpapers, and minor rippling to the linen cover cloth. It's doubtful that a better copy could be found.

Baltimore: I. & M. Ottenheimer, 1903. 1st . Paperback. Good. Rare first printing. Pp. 83 + 5 ads, 43 ills., octavo format in pictorial softcovers with portrait of author. Nice early "how-to" book on card tricks with step-by-step illustrations. An attractive copy with intact front and rear covers, spine has some splitting at edges (but still holding), wear with some loss to spine-ends, but most of title is still legible. A decent copy of this scarce book.

Self-published, 1974. 1st . Disbound. Fine. Sid Lorraine. One page with 22-line poem talking about the magic of Magic, somewhat reminiscent of a similar poem by Tony Hassine in 1968. It is attractively printed on heavy beige stock, with an illustrated border of magicians peforming etc. The illustrations are by Sid Lorraine and appear to be hand-colored. "Sid Lorraine -/74" is printed in the lower border. The sheet is tipped onto a larger pumpkin-colored piece of stiff card for protection. Rare and interesting item.

Rare book by one of the early promoters and masters of hypnotism.
