All hinges tight. Page fore-edges 'toned/lightly spotted' with age, but clean. Internally the occasional pale foxing (yellowy/tan) spot here and there but overall Good Plus to Very Good. A Sound copy in Contemporary quarter maroon calf with gilt titling, (edges lightly rubbed) with green cloth covered boards ( somewhat rubbed, bumped, marked and scuffed - otherwise Good). Internally the book needs new endpapers as the front lacks all before the Title page and the rear lacks the rear free endpaper which has been torn away. Some grubby marks throughout with some 'side-lining' markings to the text here and there. The top corner blank margin on the 'Contents' page has also been torn off. NOT PRICE CLIPPED, spotted/dusty but complete dustwrap, small price label to front of dustwrap, red boards with yellow spine, black title labels with bright gilt titling to front cover and to spine, corners and head/tail of spine slightly bumped, NO INSCRIPTIONS, a few roughly opened pages but overall an excellent clean bright copy. London: Collins. Very Good- with no dust jacket. 1936. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. Greeny-bluey cloth-covered boards, with gilt titling to the spine. No dustjacket. The base colour to the spine and a little of the edges is faded but all lettering/titling is still very clear and bright. Page fore-edges dusty/toned with some light brown spotting (foxing). A former owner's pictorial bookplate stuck to the front free endpaper with his name and date written on it in ink. The plain endpapers are lightly browned with the odd spot, but generally internally the book is Very Good, Clean, Bright & Tight. 98 pp Plus 6 full page, full colour plates on shiney 'art' paper, six full page monochome plates and some smaller b/w head and tail pieces all by Lionel Edwards R.
