A collection of transcripts, letters, testimonials, etc written by or about Ned Looney, noted Oklahoma attorney. Includes a few photographs; 50 pages. Inscribed by Ned Looney to noted Tulsa businessman and civic leader Ray Siegfried, with Siegfried's bookplate below the inscription.

A little wear to the primarily red covers, pages are slightly rippled near the spine (not due to dampstaining). Includes map endpapers, a few photos, and excerpts from journalists such as John Daly, Elmer Davis, Eric Sevareid, William Shirer, and many others as well as broadcasts by FDR, Churchill, Truman, MacArthur and others. Stamp of radio station KTUL in Tulsa on half title page.

The author was the Senior Minister of the All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Includes two line drawings by P.S. Gordon (of the author and of the author's church), and a bibliography; 203 pages.

The cloth has very minor wear at the extremities, and the interior has no names or other marks and the book appears to be unread. Includes photographs and an appendix; 105 pages.

First printing, fine in green cloth covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine and a gilt emblem of a tree on the front board (no jacket as issued). Includes many photographs (most in color), appendices (timeline, lists of employees and deacons), bibliography, and an index; 103 pages plus 17 pages of appendices.

Tulsa, OK: United States Junior Chamber of Commerce; (1959). First Edition . Soft cover. Very good, bound 8 1/2" x 11" sheets in a dark blue cover with JC emblem and title on the front cover. A little edgewear to the covers, and two small pieces of tape near the bottom of the covers. On the first page is a stamp of the Tulsa County Historical Society. There is also a presentation to the Society of an original organizer of the Tulsa Jaycees. 356 pages. The organization moved its headquarters to Tulsa in 1948.

Authors Published, 1956. First Edition . Soft cover. Plastic comb binding, very good with brown cardstock covers. Just a little minor edgewear to the covers. Genealogy and family histories of the Holway family, Tulsa, Oklahoma and Sandwich, Massachusetts; the Kerr family of Sandwich, Massachusetts and Mongaup Valley, New York; and additional ancestors in New York State and Cape Cod. Includes a few maps and many photographs. Each section is numbered separately, but probably around 200 pages. According to the book, this is one of only three typed copies with the full genealogy of all families. Inscribed on the title page "To our good friends Robert and Doris" but not having the signature of either author. A scarce family history and genealogy.

Author Published; (1938). First Edition . Hardcover. Very good in blue cloth covered boards with black lettering on the spine and front board. Cloth is worn at tips and spine ends, and the blue color is faded, mainly on the front board and spine. The book has seven photographs, and in this copy all have been removed and attached into a small booklet with a piece of scotch tape. There are also two copies of a photograph of Bob Wills, same size as the photos from the book, which may have been meant to be a frontispiece (the page facing the title page reads: "Portrait of Bob Wills May Either Be Framed Or Pasted Here"). The front hinge is cracked, and the half title page is still attached but loosely so. One the front pastedown in Bob Wills' hand is written "From/Bob Wills/To" then in a different hand is written "Dorothy White". The front endpaper is signed by 17 members of the Texas Playboys (list to follow). A stamp on the title page reads: "Presented on Occasion… Leer más

Trade paperback, fine in wraps. 52 pages with color photographs by John Southern of chainsaw sculptures by Clayton Coss on most pages. This copy is inscribed "To Jim & Judy. Thanks" by Clayton Coss on page two, where a photograph of a chainsaw sculpture of Sherlock Holmes is shown in the yard of Jim & Judy Miller. Also signed by David Arnett, the editor and John Southern, the photographer on the same page.

The subject of the six-page biography was a civic and cultural leader in early Tulsa. Includes a full page photograph of Mrs. Clinton.

Tulsa, OK: Mary's Bread Basket; (1974). First Edition . Hardcover. Dust Jacket Included. Very good in a very good dust jacket. Gift inscription on front endpaper, minor soiling to page edges. The jacket is a little soiled and has small chips at spine ends. The Tulsa author's first book, illustrated by her niece, Pat Loring Biggs. Not many of the self-published first editions survived. The book was published in 1975 by William Morrow in a much larger edition. Inscribed by the author on the title page and dated 12/12/74.

Minor handling wear to the book; the jacket has a small chip at the top of the spine and some edgewear at short tears. The Tulsa author's first book, illustrated by her niece, Pat Loring Biggs. Not many of the self-published first editions survived. The book was published in 1975 by William Morrow in a much larger edition.

Tulsa/Little Rock: US Army Corps of Engineers, 1997. First Edition . Soft cover. Near Fine/No Jacket. Spiral bound in wraps, approximately 8" high and 16" wide, with about 32 preliminary sheets and 74 navigational charts. A detailed look at the systm that went into service in the early 1970's.

(Tulsa, OK): Hammondo Press; (2000). First Edition . Hardcover. Fine lacking a dust jacket, as issued. Teal cloth with gilt lettering and borders, boards measure slightly more than 8 1/2" by 11". The author taught chorus at the high school level, was Chorus Master at the Tulsa Opera for 34 years, then joined the faculty at the University of Tulsa in 1972. Inscribed by the author on the front endpaper and dated in 2000. Includes photographs and an index; 231 pages.

Norman: University of Oklahoma Press; (1978). First Edition . Hardcover. Dust Jacket Included. Near fine in a near fine dust jacket. The top rear corner of the book and jacket are lightly bumped. The jacket has a couple of small nicks at the edges of the front panel. Includes many black and white photographs, numerous maps, list of proper names and terms, definitions, and an index; 262 pages. A history of the Sooner state, inscribed by the author to Tulsa author and historian Mildred Ladner on the front endpaper.

NY: Lewis Historical Publishing Company, 1929. First Edition . Hardcover. No Jacket. Four volumes, bound in 3/4 leather (leather spines and corners), with marbled boards. Generally very good, with some wear to the leather at spine ends (worst on vol IV). Gilt lettering and designs on spines; all page edges gilt. Small social club bookplate at top right corner of front pastedown in all four volumes, along with small club stamp on title page and two ink numbers at bottom of Foreword page. The interiors are tight and square, with tissue guards on some photos in volume IV. Volume I is 471 pages, volume II has pages 472 - 941 and an index for the first two volumes. Volume III is 450 pages, and volume IV has pages 451 - 8456, and includes a name index. A solid, useable set of the first comprehensive state history, done 22 years after statehood. Because of the size of this set, additional postage will be required and no international sales will be made.

First thus, fine in red cloth boards with gilt lettering on spine and front board. Includes many maps and illustrations and additional material at the rear; 204 numbered pages. The only hardcover edition of this guide.
