Laid-in a play bill from the Grand Opera House, Chicago (33 x 12.5 cm) for "Final Performances The Irish Players from the Abbey Theater, Dublin dated March 12, 1912. Five plays noted, three by Lady Gregory, one each by Yeats and Doyle with complete casts for each. Crease to front and back covers, backstrip extremities worn, spine paper label faded.

The press published books, pamphlets and broadsides, primarily by Southern authors, and in most cases offering the first printing or first separate appearance of the work as noted herein). Authors published by the press include A. R. Ammons, Fred Chappell, James Dickey, Richard Eberhart, George Garrett, Reynolds Price, W. D. Snodgrass, William Styron, John Updike, Richard Penn Warren, Eudora Welty and Richard Wilbur. Most of the press' offerings were limited editions, but in the later years it published trade editions as well. Palaemon Press published its last works in 1985.
