Lionel Edwards, a British artist, specialized in painting horses and scenes of British country life. SIGNED by Edward Gorey under the front flap on the "pseudo" title page (the story begins on the exterior front cover and ends on the back cover. Full number line 1 through 0. Aside from a very tiny bump of the upper right hand corner, this book appears as fresh as it was in 1982. All pop-ups and sliding panels are in perfect working order with no defects whatsoever. The dust jacket is quite attractively illustrated and presents only minor edgewear. The book itself is green with black titles. Gift inscription and some yellowing of pages, otherwise still a fun vintage copy.

In truly wonderful condition - appears not to have been opened much or played with. Four rooms are created - a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom and a bedroom, all complete with pop-up furnishings. 19x23 cm. Text in French. Livre non daté.
