Poster for the alternative band Collective Soul, advertising their August 13th, 1995 concert at the Fillmore in San Francisco. NEAR FINE condition, with perhaps a hint of wear at the corners.

New York: Fillmore East Corporation, 1969. Wraps. Good. Wraps, 22 pp. Front wrapper illustrated by David Byrd. Show program for concerts at the Fillmore East, promoted by Bill Graham. The Fillmore East was open from 1968 to 1971, serving as the East Coast version of the Fillmore in San Francisco. This program features Janis Joplin and the Grateful Dead, including bios and photos. The February 12th performance by Janis Joplin was broadcast live on the East Coast, and was recorded and released on vinyl (at the time). The Grateful Dead recorded one of their two February 11th shows, releasing it on CD in 1997. It featured their first live performance of the Beatles' Hey Jude. Also present is an essay, "The Next Best Thing to Balling," describing the San Francisco music scene and sound. With ads for music throughout. GOOD condition. Minor soiling and toning to the covers. Show program for concerts at the Fillmore East, promoted by Bill Graham. The Fillmore East was open from 1968 to 1971, serving as the East Coast version of the Fillmore in San Francisco. This program features the program for the Who's rock opera, Tommy. This includes a bio of the band, summary of the opera and dialogue/lyrics to the songs. GOOD condition. Minor soiling and toning to the covers. Staples rusted, with minor associated staining. Minor curling to the upper corners. Small area of staining to the upper rear cover. Minor wrinkling. Tiny tear to the upper center edge.

A Bill Graham concert poster reflecting a retro look associated with early counterculture in San Francisco. Poster was for concerts at the Fillmore, featuring Jefferson Airplane. Creative Lithograph Co. No. 1 appears at the lower left corner. GOOD+ condition. Small pinhole at top center margin. Minor scuffing and bumping and creasing along the extremities.

Poster for the Mexican rock band El Tri (along with Oixa), advertising their July 6th, 2001 concert at the Fillmore in San Francisco. NEAR FINE condition, with perhaps a hint of wear at the corners. Very faint diagonal crease to the lower left corner.

New York: G. Schirmer, 1918. Hard Cover. Good. Brown paper covered boards with a small, centered pastedown illustration. Brown cloth spine. 47 pp., plus 12 color plates tipped in on thin black cardstock paper. A collections of songs, with lyrics and music, from the Book of Katherine's Friends by Emily Niles Huyck. With color illustrations by Helen Therese Damrosch, an American illustrator who served as an artist on 13 expeditions with the Tropical Research Dept. of the New York Zoological Society. This includes sketching underwater on zinc plates. She also illustrated several books (see archiveswest website). GOOD condition with heavy scuffing and bumping to the extremities, resulting in some loss of paper. General scuffing and fading to the book, with minor soiling. Interior solid, with the paper toned.

Single issue of this scholarly journal, including articles, "The Cotton Blossom Singers;" "In Retrospect: Sherman H. Dudley;" "Conversation with William Duncan Allen." VERY GOOD condition. Light fading and edgewear.

A program to the 1889 to 1890 season of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, featuring historical and critical analysis on the various pieces performed, written by G.H. Wilson. This season included performances of Wagner and the Introduction 'Die Meistersinger;' Beethoven and the Overture 'Coriolanus;' Schubert and his Entr'acte, from Ballet Music to 'Rosamunde;' and Schumann and his Symphony No. 4, in D Minor, Op. 120. VERY GOOD condition. Faint vertical crease present to the piece. General fading and minor wrinkling. Light soiling.

Slack (NY imprint); Tripping thro' the Meadows by G.D. Wilson (with cover portrait of a woman); Sweet Spirit, hear my prayer by Brinley Richards; An Etude for piano by A. Goria and other piano music. GOOD condition. Moderate fading and scuffing to the covers, with minor soiling, spotting and staining. Heavy scuffing, bumping and wear along the extremities and spine, with the leather very worn. First endpaper detached. Owners' signatures present. Minor scattered foxing throughout.

Single issue of this magazine devoted to counterculture and pop culture in general, with a left leaning tone. This issue with an interview with Chick Corea, an article on the band Genesis, a centerfold coloring page envisioning a Beatles reunion, etc. GOOD condition. General toning and minor soiling to the wraps. Some fading, minor scuffing and curling. Moderate toning to the text block.

Heavy toning to the paper. Horizontal fold crease present. Minor edgewear.

A dual language edition of a selection Russian Orthodox Chants from the 16th to the 20th centuries. VERY GOOD condition. Minor fading. Some scuffing and bumping along the extremities.

Various hymns and songs written for all topics including seasons, sins, God, etc. In GOOD condition with moderate uneven fading to the covers. Minor soiling and some scuffing. Moderate bumping and scuffing to the extremities with some fraying to the cloth at the head and foot of the spine. Previous owner's name on the first endpaper. Interior solid with moderate darkening.
