Several minor dings and creases, and tiny tears to extremities; else, only light wear and soiling to exterior. Save for some very mild internal soiling or rubbing on a few pages, text clean. Text block partially separated from covers. May not to be reattached at some point. Overall, a nicely preserved copy of this very scarce title

Several tiny wear spots to exterior, with a touch of soiling to same. Minor spotting to top-edges of boards and pages. Text clean and binding sound. A good, clean, tight copy

Bound in full red cloth with clear and bright gilt lettering to spine. Light to medium wear and a touch of soiling and mild, faint spotting in a few places on exterior, as well as some definite fading in places on boards. Mild tanning to paper. Mild spacing at hinges, though text block is square and binding sound. Overall, still a nice, clean, sound and attractive copy with no markings to interior.

Blackfriars, London: T. Werner Laurie, Ltd., 1926. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. viii, 400pp. Ex-library, though area where sticker was has cleaned up nicely. A little sunning to spine and a discolored area where the sticker used to be. Several heavily worn areas to edges of boards, mostly in an approximately 1.5" long area at lower fore-edges. Text clean. Binding sound. Text block is square. The gilt lettering to spine and gilt lettering and decoration to front cover are in very good condition. Overall, a nice, clean, sound and largely attractive copy

Translation and with an introductory essay by Henry Van Brunt. Illustrated with plates and woodcuts. This volume contains all called for (18) fold-outs and 110 figures (black and white line drawings). Concerning the fold-outs, one admits to several short, closed tears at (blank) extremities, and a couple of others that admit to a mild wrinkling appearance, also at (blank) extremities. Bound in original green cloth, with gilt lettering and decorations to spine and gilt decoration to front cover. There is also a blind decoration to back cover. Dust-jacket worn, but, with an archival protective plastic cover over dust-jacket, remains a fairly attractive copy

Mildly ex-library, with no exterior library markings on new binding. Volume admits to a mild cocking appearance, though this isn't offensive. Typical library treatments to title-page. Rebound in full cream colored leather with gilt lettering to spine. Top edges of pages gilt. Decorated parts of red cloth (1 to front cover, 2 to spine) from original red cloth binding were utilized in the new binding. Very minor wear to covers. Frontispiece, title-page and last plate professionally repaired (reattached to book). The repair includes new page edges (margins), which slightly cover the extremities of the plates. First approximately 6 pages admit to some wear, including small pieces missing, though there is no effect on the reading of the text.
