Alister Kershaw enjoyed alcohol for its many varieties and tastes, and because it was part of the social interaction that he loved so much. So here he writes fourteen "Rounds" about gin, beer, rum, champagne, cider, absinthe, whisky, and others. It is also about the people who drank with him.

His many friends knew him as a soldier, bull-fighter, and marvellous raconteur. However he had another side to his nature which was seldom on view, except to his daughter who recalls here her memories of him, particularly when he retreated to write his poetry. Only a few copies are still available.

In 1975 Roger Burford Mason and Mick Rogers began to buy and sell the letterpress equipment that was being steadily abandoned by commercial printers as everyone, except private press printer, hastily converted to newer technology. This is the story of what happened along the way. It includes some very amusing anecdotes.

Aubrey Beardsley (1872-98) was one of the best, and certainly most original, of the English illustrators. Included here is an essay which considers his "difficult, slow and tragic journey from the infernal to the paradisial. " There is also a long poem, written in Beardsley's imagined voice, which allows the author to recreate the artist's life as a confession.

During World War II he was captured by the Russians and spent years in their prisoner-of-war camps. But eventually he was released with other Poles and reformed into the Second Polish Corps which fought at Montecassino, Italy. It was there that Gliwa's gifts as an artist were especially recognized.
