Flaws include a rather handled, somewhat smudged look to the board exteriors. Corners bumped, with trace abrasion. Owners name penned inside front cover (first pastedown). Slender format, 11 wide by 8.5 tall, unpaginated, text complete, front cover illustration of dog and pie is handscome. Inscribed to a noted California collector/librarian by Goode November 1977. Goode later won the Caldecott. Surely a later printing of this early edition (copyright date given is 1940), HB letter code 11-0, beneath which appears the letters G-W, this would seem to indicate an actual printing date of July '47. Jacket is priced at two dollars, showing code numbers 4401 and 90-130 at bottom of front flap. Book has 325 paginated pages, foredge deckle. Front boards brown illustration on russet background, reads well as does spine lettering. The book has a notably sound, tight binding and a small assortment of mild flaws. While the boad tips have no major bumping or abrasion, there is a very small dent just back from the upper front tip. Two tiny white smudges, barely noticeable back board. (based on number code) or BCE (no price but no debossing mark) clean, straight copy, no marking, wear, soiling to speak of. Jacket a bit less newish, but handsome, no tears. The Kasahara has 2 issues, it's perfect binding has been hyper opened at one place near it's center point and is eased at that gutter. Text holding. It also has small chip replacement with tape upper spine back. Carefully handled will last well. Next is hardcover, Rick Beech's "The Origami Handbook" in a bright newish, dust jacketed copy 2003. Lastly, Engels FU, massive trade paperback in good shape. This listing is for two Greenaway illustrated items sold as a pair at the listed price with one book priced domestic media mail shipping. The details of the above are for the Harte, which would be graded much higher but for an extraordinary flaw. There is a 5'' tear on the 17th page, book otherwise has notable charm, beautiful front cover bit of speckled/stain. The other item is an 11'' x 6'' solid stich pamphlet M.G. by Greenaway. Slender item 12 pages with covers in very nice shape. P.C.J. shows 19 ND (QMM #19 last) 12 DG rear flap, 15 JB back panel. We are using an older Farah whose early 40s listings seem not to match this item perfectly, suspect we'd have a 1943A if it appeared. Guide goes from 1942-1943 to 1943B with no pcj jacketed version showing the correct particulars, for example there are no post-text cross-promotion ads in the book. Also while no wartime condition notice appears, paper has the mild overall brownishness of the era. Jacket is in acid free mylar wrapper (closed with acid free tape) and is distressed. While color is excellent and edgwear is minimal, the jacket has major front panel ripping and chipping, please note: this is not likely to show in the books foto. nancy head has abrasion just below hairline. NY: Landmark, 1958. 1st Printing, Stated . Hardcover. Very Good+/Very Good-. Not a perfect hard cover copy of Landmark # 79 by the esteemed prize winner Warren. Still, the book, with it's clean, greenish boards, neat, unmarked text and sound binding, has much to recommend it. Lower board tips have minor bumping, upper back board tip, rather more so. The dust wrapper (unpriced as customary for Landmark) has no tears to speak of, some microtears trace chipping, and crease wear, especially at spine extremities. The back panel has some mild soiling evident, the spine is not at all badly sunned. It should look smashing in it's new mylar wrapper and it will be photographed in this wrapper and this image will be added to the books listing ASAP.

Lodestar/Dutton, 1990. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good+/Near Fine. Hardback, First Edition. Book has small black remainder mark on bottom edge of text and a very slight wear to edges of boards; interior is As New. Books sole flaws are a storage issue, the boards show small dents centered on boards, side and tops, had to look hard to see them. Text and lemon boards bright, bit of upper board tip bump.
