London: Lutterworth Press, 1963. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Volume 2 only. Reddish cloth with shelf wear; very clean, bright gilt stamping to spine, a bit shaken, but well bound. Former owner's name label - a scholar of early Christianity - with a few pages showing some pencil underlining, neatly ruled. No dust jacket. 852 pp.

London: George Allen & Unwin, Ltd., 1957 [1952]. Second printing. Hardcover. Near Fine in VG dust jacket. Former ownership label; otherewise clean and unmarked. Slighly dusty jacket, very nice in a clear archvial cover.

Former ownership name in pencil, else unmarked copy. Light foxing throughout. Light damp stain to first 50 pages, lower edge about the size of a quarter, not discolored, shows as a bit wrinkled, some paper undulation, 26 engravings, mostly inter text, 2 full pages. 442 pages plus several pages of advertisements. Preface by author, dated 18th April, 1833.

NY: Oxford University Press, 1956. Fifth printing. Hardcover. Very Good Plus in VG dust jacket.. Small smattering of glue remains from a label, to the front fly leaf. Otherwise, this copy is Near Fine/ Dust jacket is price-clipped, sunned spine, small soiled/discolored spot to front panel; now protected in a clear archival cover (Brodart).

London: Constable and Company, LTD., 1927 [1888]. New Impression (1927). Hardcover. Very Good or better. Reddish cloth with some discoloration from contact with moisture at the surface, boards slighly bowed inward (contents unaffected), else clean with light shelf wear and still bright gilt lettering to spine. Former owernship names on front fly and front pd, else clean and unmarked with very lightly age-toned paper. No dust jacket, if issued. A very good reading copy (or better) with a 'new' introduction. NY: Bloch Publishing Co., 1959. Second edition with additional chapter. Hardcover. Near Fine in VG dust jacket. A green cloth hardcover, very clean, well bound and unmarked. Dust jacket shows light wear, sunning to spine, no price-clipped and no protected in a clear archvial sleeve (Brodart)

Ludlow, VT: Barton & Toweer, 1847. First edition. Hardcover. Poor. Original brown cloth covers, rubbing, small loss of cloth on back cover, short tear to cloth on outer hinge (rear), at one point the binding was stab sewn in three spots near the spine. End pages show some contact with moisture, unmarked with light discoloration thoughout with some age spotting to pages. 96 pages. Acceptable copy.
