A little soil on the leather covers; spine darkened with age but fully legible; 2 TINY breaks in the leather hinges at top and bottom of front cover. NOTE that the prior owner's name and the donor of the book are both embossed in gold on front cover. This is not a fault, just the way things were done: NEAR FINE condition. This volume is over 150 years old, yet it is still gorgeous. It is tight, clean and unmarked. It is filled with all sorts of obscure facts about New York, like a gazetteer or almanac (District attorneys of each county; Meeting days for town councils; list of savings banks; etc. etc.) Fold-out floor plans of both legislative chambers inside front cover. 564pp. [BD065]. 1st Edition.
