Canaan, NH: Phoenix Publishing, 1975. Trade Paperback. Good+/No Jacket. Light soiling to covers, bookstore stamp on flyleaf. Born in Wallingford, CT, the author writes of growing up in a farming area one hundred years ago. B&W photos by Alice Moulton.

Appears to be an early textbook, no school markings of any kind. A geographic history of the state, many photos and drawings, some charts, fold out map at rear. Indexed.

Interesting and detailed history, written by the President of the Southern New England Telephone Co, (SNET). Includes a reproduction of the one page New Haven telephone directory, the first in the world. 28 pgs.

North Haven, CT: William J. Mack. Hardcover. Very Good. Light wear to covers, bumps to corners, clean and unmarked. Small spiral bound, cardboard covered booklet of 90 pages. "Recipes by the children, parents, and teachers of the Hamden Hall Country Day School, Hamden, Conn". Undated, possibly 1950s-60s.

New Haven: Payne & Lane, 1948. Burgundy Cloth. Good+/No Jacket. Light shelfwear, spine faded, small stain bottom left back cover; text clean and unmarked. A collection of somewhat risque (for those days) poems and essays about all kind of topics. Mr. Durant was well known in the New Haven CT area, and lived in Guilford for a time.

Soft cover. Good/No Jacket. This is a small booklet, approx. 5x7 1/2, with a blue paper cover, published in New Haven in 1917. The cover is soiled and somewhat worn, 1" piece missing from top right front. Foxing to endpapers, interior text clean, bright and unmarked. This book (114 pgs) is a history of the first Masonic Lodge in Connecticut, chartered in 1750. Besides a history of the Lodge, there are photos of all past Masters, through 1916, as well as a few photos of buildings and various sites around New Haven. Also inside is a list of all past and present members from 1750 thru 1916.

Chicago: Pioneer Historical Publishing, 1930. Black Cloth. Good+/No Jacket. Vol. One: 963 pgs., detailed history of NH County from the earliest times, indexed. Binding somewhat shaken, rear hinge split, page 947 detached but present, light wear/soiling. Vol. Two: 575 pgs., brief biographies of prominent residents of the County, B&W photos or engravings of many of them, indexed. Nice sound copy showing only light wear. Vol Three: 561 pgs., more brief biographies of well known NH county residents, many B&W photos and engravings; front hinge paper split, light wear to covers. All three volumes are unmarked. (Only Vol. One is attributed to Ms Mitchell, the other two show no author). Extra postage may be required. Shipping outside the US will be expensive, please inquire before ordering.

Chicago: Culinary Arts Inst./Consolidated Book, 1941. White Cloth. Very Good/Good+. Minor wear to edges, very light soiling, unmarked, illus with B&W photos. Jacket shows moderate edgewear; red, white, and blue patriotic artwork. Over 800 recipes, meat free, using dairy products. This may have been a business give-a-way, the jacket spine states "Distributed by the Brock-Hall Dairy", (an old Connecticut dairy).

Richmond VA: Dietz Press, 1948. Brown Cloth. Near Fine/Very Good. Slight bumps to lower corners, clean and unmarked; brown cloth w/silver titles. Jacket shows wear at top of spine, minor wear at corners. "Adventures and Recipes of the White Turkey Inn", located in Danbury, CT, and later in several NYC locations.

"Memorial Addresses on the Life and Character of Wm. A. Buckingham, (A Senator of Connecticut), Delivered in the Senate and House of Representatives, Forty-Third Congress, Second Session, February 27 and March 1, 1875. With Other Tributes of Respect, Published by Order of Congress".

Jacket shows wear to edges and folds, 1" closed tear top front, 1" tear top left front at spine fold (titles unaffected). Amusing story of life in rural Connecticut after the war. Inscribed and dated by the author on the half-title page.

Stratford, CT: Cider Mill Press, 1966. Gray Cloth. Very Good+/Very Good. A nice unmarked copy (probably unread). Jacket shows slight edgewear, yellowing. A collection of poems by Mr. St. Cyr, a CT schoolteacher.

A collection of short essays by the author, who lived in Norwalk, CT. A booklet of forty pages. Included is a brochure (with numerous photos of early inventions) that consists of the opening remarks of Col. Frederick H. Payne at a Society gathering in 1947 at the Pierre, N.Y.

New Haven: Private, 1935. Green Cloth. Very Good+/No Jacket. Very minimal shelfwear, clean and unmarked. A slim volume (47 pages) of nice little poems. While privately published, this book was actually printed by Yale U. Press.

New York: Gramercy, 1979. Reprint . Yellow Cloth. Very Good/Very Good. Light soiling to covers, otherwise unmarked. Price clipped jacket shows edgewear, slight rubbing, price sticker on back. "200 Years of New England Cooking". A collection of private recipes from the Old Hundred Inn, once located at Southbury, CT and at one time well known throughout New England. Reprint of the 1930s original.
