New York: Schocken Books, 1949. Edited by Gordon Bottomley & Denys Harding Foreword by Siegfried Sassoon 8vo size clothbound hardcover; 240 pages From fep: "Isaac Rosenberg...was a Jew, Englishman, poet killed in World War I... The death of Isaac Rosenberg, said Louis Untermeyer... (was a) loss to English culture that cannot be estimated..." In addition to the wide range of lyrics and shorter poems, major in interest to the reader who has not yet encountered them, will be the rich, swift drama of a daringly conceived "Moses," and the mythical human power and pathos of "The Unicorn." These and a number of shorter poems on specific biblical themes exemplify Rosenberg as the poet of his people, show what Siegried Sassoon has called "a fruitful fusion between English and Hebrew culture." Toward the end, Rosenberg turned to the Hebraic tradition for the "roots" of a spiritual force for combating the staleness and corruption of the modern…

Paterson, New Jersey: Young Men's and Young Women's Hebrew Association, 1950. Booster Edition. Thursday, May 25, 1950. 25th Anniversary of Paterson, New Jersey Jewish Center. Folio sized stapled magazine binding. Unpaginated, about 40 pages. This volume is a combination of articles, black and white photographs and many advertisements. Selling space in this issue would have been a fundraiser for the group. A gaggle of Bubbe's would have been on the telephone calling the local businesses and selling the ads. The ads generally have a business name or a message from someone, i.e. "Compliments of Mr. and Mrs. David Moskow." There are also vintage product and company advertisements. A photo essay shows the building of the "Y" in 1949 and 1950, other photographs date back to 1906. The majority of candid photos are not captioned, most head shots are captioned, such as "Harry S. Reiman presents Dr. Samuel Singer Trophies to best campers of the 1949…
