Nombreuses illustrations, 8 en couleurs. Technique par Mme. Berthe Bernay, Notation Musicale par MM. Francis Casadesus et Jules Maugué. Blue multi-color pictorial boards, gilt lettering, all edges gilt. Corners and spine ends lightly rubbed, contents age-toned. A magnificent Victorian binding of a musical operatic scene, typical of the Belle-Époque era of Parisian night life.

Buenos Aires: Imprenta Lopez, 1945. First Edition . Hardcover. Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. 33pp, 58 plates in blackand white and in color. Text in Spanish. Tan boards, gilt letterimg and decoration. Chipping to spine. Text and plates mainly clean, last plate has 3 very small abrasions, slight internal separation, all pages and plates holding. Slipcase is worn at corners and lightly soiled. Laid-in is Imprenta Lopez business card of José M. Lopez Soto. Slight paperclip impression on front free endpaper.

LIght wear to edges, author's name on label scuffed, contents are age-toned and very occasionally spotted, binding is tight. 12 portrait illustrations. Text in French.

Spine chipped at top and bottom, light soil and staining [mainly to rear cover], contents are toned but otherwise clean, 2 inch clean tear to top margin of first page with no loss, owner's name on first page. Black and white illustrations by Henri Matisse and comments by Matisse, Georges Roualt, Raymond Cogniat, Roger Marx, Jules Romains and others.

Half-bound marbled paper over red morocco, gilt spine lettering, 5 raised bands, marbled endpapers. Cover and spine worn, front board detached but present, contents mildly toned, dampstaining to margins of preliminary pages only, owner's name and date on front free endpaper; text and illustrations ore mostly clean and unmarked. Beautiful color representations on each page of text. A handsome book, but for the detached board.

Card folder containing reproductions of 12 colored drawings each mounted on matte, 4 pages of text. Cover is faded and spotted, illustrations are all clean and sound, fading to perimeters of mattes. Overall in nice condition. Scenes of everyday life in Jerusalem. All of the original 12 prints are present.

Edges worn, chip to head of spine, interior is mildly toned but sound and all plates are clean and unmarked. 22 sepia-tone plates, including frontispiece, are mounted to individual stiff cardstock pages, and each is followed by a brief description.
