Preceding the text are fourteen full page copper plate engravings, presumably to accompany the 'C' volume, as they show the internal movement of clocks, techniques of carpentry, catarnet, centres, cerebrum, chemical apparatus, chymistry [sic], cinchona, and clitorismus (rather gruesome).
