Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 1909. First Edition. Half Buckram. Very good. 4to (33cm). A plain pale reddish buckram to spine over plain boards. No. 56 of 350 copies, printed on handmade paper and set in Cambridge type. Vol I: Books I to III. pp. 544, including to rear the two pages of Errata. Vol II: Books IV to VI, and the fragment of Book VII. pp. 494. Rough trimmed leading and lower page edges. The boards, more so to Vol I, with some rubs, minor marks and wear to tips. Small tear to cloth at head of spine adjacent front board. Tips of Vol II worn, a 4" or 11cm tear along head of spine to front board. Boards overall well kept. Internally, pages in both volumes clean and unmarked, bindings firm. Some copies of this edition were issued in a vellum binding with gilt top edge. These copies are of the plain variant bindings.

London: Folio Society, 1978. First Edition. Very good +. Translated by Rosemary Edmonds. Introduction, Colin Ward. Lithographs by Janos Kass. 8vo. In the check patterned paper over boards, gilt titles to brown cloth backed spine, matching endpapers, top edge stained maroon. Bar sun faded spine, and a small ding to upper front cover edge, a very bright, well kept copy in a like slipcase.

Flat back spine with gilt titles and floral design, red cloth boards. Previous owner's name neatly to flyleaf. Some fading to spine, margins of boards, front hinge tender, still a very sound copy.

New York: Holt, Rinehart and Winston, 1972. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good +/very good. pp. 288. 5-1/4" x 10-1/4" (tall 8vo). A very nice copy in unclipped jacket with light edgewear, a small tear nr base of spine.

London: Sheed & Ward, 1945. Hardcover. Good. 8vo, black cloth, gilt titles to spine. Top edge badly spotted and dusted, otherwise a clean, sound copy. With the ex libris bookplate of Derek Francis, possibly the character actor.

Unclipped dust jacket, illustration by Levente Szabo. Introduction by John Cork. pp. 372 + "From the Archives", illustrations of 'Goldfinger' ephemera. An immaculate copy, unread and a very tight binding. Uncommon in this issue and condition. One of three titles that Vintage issued in this uniform design, the other two being 'Casino Royale' and 'Live and Let Die', both also available. Provenance: although not indicated within, this copy acquired from the collection of Nick Bennett, owner of the world's largest collection of James Bond memorabilia.

With lithographs by Edward Bawden. pp. 262. Spine slightly dulled, faded, else a very well kept copy, in a like slipcase with signs of very light wear only.

Blue marbled boards, marbled endpapers, marbled page edges. Loss of backstrip to hd of spine, joints worn, boards rubbed to edges, occasional spotting and offsetting to pages, but binding remains firm, still a clean, sound copy.
