Collingwood,3066: Friends of the Earth, 1984. Hardcover. Very Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. 108 pages, illustrated. The book is ex library. It has been covered in contact, carries a Dewey number on the spine and library stamps on the copyright page and the two 'Introduction' pages do not match the rest of the book, whose pages are tanned. The book could also be library bound, a binding which is indestructible. Overall a clean, unmarked and solid copy. "This book is a most interesting and useful attempt to talk to farming people about their work, their land, their attitudes to it and their lives. You could write a hundred books on the subject before you began to know anything like the truth. This book is a pioneering attempt." (Trove)

Albury: Albury City Council, 1976. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 239 pages, illustrated, list of MPs, bibliography, indexed. Second revised edition. The jacket is rubbed and chipped at the edges; the book was once cover in protective plastic leaving both flaps, and the head of both paste downs, with remnant sticky tape marks, both paste downs also suffer from minor damage tat the tail. The paste downs and end papers carry a map of Albury. Included with the book as a loose insert is an envelope, stamp included, commemorating the Centenary of the Albury-Wodonga Rail Ling. As the title implies a history of Albury, a Victorian New South Wales border city.

Melbourne: Paul Flesch & Company, 1971. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Thomas Wallace Knox (1835-1896), at the height of his career in the 1880s was one of the most popular literary figures of the New York scene: Journalist, best-selling author, inventor, world traveller. This book, originally written as a contribution to the Australian Centennial in 1888 was based on the author's knowledge of the areas and subsequent historical and scientific research. Originally published in 1889." "Trove) The copyright page includes " Charles E. Tuttle Co. Inc. Rutland, Vermont &Tokyo, Japan, 1971." a clean, unmarked and solid copy.

Spiral Binding. As New. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. 38 pages. A series of articles by different authors on aspects of the history of Thompsons Engineering Works of Castlemaine. No publications date, editor or publisher offered and I could find no reference to it in either Trove, the National Library or via a google search. 1992 is the latest date in the Contents' page, so I'm assuming this is roughly the publication date..

Brighton, Victoria: The Author, 2003. Soft cover. Very Good. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall. 183 pages, please check with us for an accurate postage cost, the book weighs under 500 grams. A clean, unmarked and solid copy. First published in 1994, this is a revised edition. Oblong format, full page sketches and black and white photographs interspersed with text about Brighton, the Melbourne suburb, during the 1920s and 1930s.

Brisbane: Produced by Oswald L. Ziegler for the Council of City of Brisbane. Hardcover. Very Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. 659 pages, illustrated and indexed, includes maps and a bibliography. No publishing date c.1959. Brisbane 1859-1959 was published to celebrate the centenary of Brisbane's local government. Includes as a loose insert an unmarked 'First Day Stamp Exhibition 11th October 1982 ANPEX (?) 82 Brisbane Qld. 4000'. A clean, unmarked and solid copy. Adelaide: Turnbull Fox Phillips, 1992. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. xii 230 pages indexed and illustrated. The book was a gift, the front paste and front end paper has a number of signatures, as well as a gift inscription, else the book is immaculate and appears unread. "History of the South Australian sheep station, Bungaree, from its founding in 1841. Records the involvement of its owners, the Hawker family, in South Australian political and community life and describes the role of the family in agricultural innovations such as the evolution of the modern Australian merino.

The covers are very lightly rubbed and there is a name in blue biro at the head of the front cover, else a clean, unmarked and solid copy. In 'Canberra : Dream to Reality' the author outlines the story of Canberra from the first settlers, who arrived in the ares in 1825, through to the present day...A useful Appendix listing suburbs of Canberra, and brief biographical; of the noted Australians they have been named after." Beasley, Bill (Drawings). 56 pages.The head of the jacket's spine suffers from minor loss and the edges are chipped; in the content page an old price has been neatly blocked out with black texta, else clean, solid and unmarked. A title in Rigby's sketchbook series, highlighting some if Castlemaine's most important buildings and interesting features, the sketches accompanied by an informative text.

Castlemaine: Castlemaine Mail (Printer). Stapled Wraps. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. There is an ownership signature on the title page, and exactly halfthe booklet suffers from light creasing along the head's outer edge. No date offered, 1978. Unpaged, 52 pages, illustrated. As the title implies, a brief early history of Castlemaine's North-End.

Castlemaine: Castlemaine District Association of Pioneers and Old Residents, 1984. Stapled Wraps. Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. There is an ownership stamp on the front paste down, else a clean, unmarked and solid copy. Unpaged (64 pages), illustrated. On the front cover: "The Queen to James Thompson and others for the purpose of the Castlemaine Association of Pioneers and Old Residents grant...The Royal Land Grant Document...1893.

Stapled Wraps. Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. No publication data is given. As it is a Centenary history of St. Joseph's in Benalla, I am assuming it was published by St. Joseph's in Benalla in 2008. 47 pages, illustrated. The book is light, please check with us for an accurate postage cost.

Ballarat, Victoria: Selkirk Brick, 1983. Card Covers. Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. The covers are lightly bumped, else immaculate. 83 pages, illustrated. Robert Selkirk began manufacturing bricks in 1883 to use in his trade as a bricklayer aroiund Ballarat and Cherry Tree Flat.

"Shepparton High School (SHS) was a public high school in Shepparton, Victoria, Australia. It opened in 1909 as Shepparton Agricultural High School - the first high school in Shepparton and one of the first public high schools in Victoria.
