Vol 3 has a half title page for Dissertation sur l'Amerique and then a title page matching that of vol 2. Pages browned throughout, damp staining to vol 2. The title mentions embellished with engravings, but here only with the frontispiece. Pages browned, much more heavily towards the rear. Disbound without any covers. 19th century ink library stamp of the Birmingham Library to the frontispiece and also page 99. Outer corners of the frontispiece are torn off. Apparently originally issued as part of a volume of collected voyages..

1845 Book. Good. Soft cover. Volume of maps that would once have been a school atlas in Denmark. Undated, probably 1840s. No title page. Contains 14 detailed maps and corresponding outline maps - titled Examinationskort There is a 15th outline map - that for Sonder-Jydland but this lacks the detailed map to go with it. The world maps are folding. Browning and spotting. Some small tears to the page edges. The maps are roughly stapled into later plain limp covers which are chipped and worn..

Disbound - was issued as part of Voyages and Travels No 4 Vol II. Here though disbound from the volume. Splitting and almost separated between pages 110 and 111. Some creasing to the maps. Some spotting and light browning to the pages throughout. Some offsetting of text to the plate and also to some pages. .

[iv], 55, [3], 57-58, [2] pages + frontis and 7 other plates including the eau-forte or etching which is here placed facing page 26, rather than at page 36 as listed in the table at the rear. In old limp cloth binding, gilt lettered to the front board, rather worn. Faint ink library stamps to the margin of the title page and also to the penultimate page. Heavily spotted throughout. Some image descriptions are on tissue interleaving, others on paper pages. Pages measure approximately 31x44cm. Some of the tissue interleaving is creased and some has tears to the edges. Old ink note mentioning the presence of the etching to one of the front free end papers..

The plate facing page 202 - Mr Bruce introduced to the King at Gondar is detached. Printed on poor quality paper, page edges are untrimmed and a bit frayed. Bound in old half leather over marbled boards - the paper on the boards has been recycled as old printed text can clearly be seen beneath the marbling. Leather is worn and there is damage to the boards. A label seems to have been removed from the centre of the front board. Some pencil calculations and verse to the front end papers..

A front free end paper in vol 1 is detached. Old leather bindings, worn, joints split but holding. Tear to the head of the title page in vol 1 which goes through some of the title. Spotting to pages and some soiling throughout..

Oxford: Printed at the Theatre, 1746 Book. Poor. Hardcover. [ii], xvi, 112 pages + 2 plates. ESTC T114253. Here though just one plate is bound in between pages 84 and 85. The plate is titled Lithostrotum Praenestinum. The other plate which shows 5 maps and an image of Ibis bones is loosely inserted, it is clearly from another copy as it is trimmed and has old blue paper remains to the rear where it was once pasted into a scrap album. In old paper covered boards with a replacement cloth spine. Pages i/ii are almost detached. There is damp staining to the inner margins of pages at the start and rear. Original stabholes to the inner margins are clearly visible. Binding splitting internally. ESTC shows that this was a supplement to Travels, or observations relating to several parts of Barbary and the Levant, published in 1738..
