O.S.Nock, tells the story of the Cornish Riviera Express and its performance in his inimitable way, and in doing so conveys vividly and convincingly the unique atmosphere of the train. Like the ' Queen' liners, it had a special place in the hearts of those who travelled on it, and here are some of the reasons why. A tight clean copy. The D/W shows signs of fading to its rear panel and spine, it also has small tears to its corners. it is also priced-clipped.

It compliments the '50s West ' with many different locations, but with a few of the old favourite scenes . The journey starts at Taunton when the station abounded in splendid GWR signals and signal boxes, then runs through Somerset then Devon through to Cornwall and eventually stopping at Penzance. The corners of pages 15 through to 18 have been turned down by the previous owner. Otherwise this is a clean tight copy.

This book fills an important gap in the history of railways. There is some faint foxing to the back pastedowns and the edges of the pages are slightly dust stained,the D/W is nicked and torn along the edges and the top of the spine and on the corners. .
