With 48 tipped-in plates and one albumen group photograph laid-in. Covers show bumped corners, leather flaking, interior shows occasional foxing.

Department of Agriculture, Division of Botany, 1952 From the personal collection of Lorna Marshall (1898-2002], a well known anthropologist that lived among the !Kung people of the Kalahari Desert, and author of several books based on her studies, with her annotation on the front cover.. xi, [1], 184pp, 85 b/w photographs, 5 folding charts, with the folding map in back [small border tear]. The covers are in poor condition, with the back cover showing chips, and is detached. The Interior is in Very Good Condition. Housed in a protective mylar sleeve.

Complete with 4 plates, as called, and text illustrations throughout. The covers show bumped corners, and tape reside on the free endpapers. The dust jacket has the mounted photographic illustration, is NOT price clipped, showing light stains and tape residue [no tears].

London: T. Fisher Unwin, 1908 Popular Edition. With a Coloured Frontispiece and Sixty Other Illustrations. xxxv, [1], 338pp, [2], printed on fine glossy paper, bound in illustrated red cloth with a mounted colour label [no chips], gilt decorated spine, binding and hinges tight. Upper corner of the spine shows a tear, discoloration to the covers, occasional interior thumb print, previous owner's early penned initials.

Tunis, 1926 [4], iii, [1], 9-123pp, printed on fine glossy paper, bound in original stiff paper covers, with mounted illustration of a lobster. Illustrated throughout [some tipped-in]. Tape over worn spine, bumped corners, in a protective mylar sleeve. Text is in French. From the private collection of A. M. Stuart [Prof. Alastair M. Stuart, Dept. of Zoology, UMASS, Amherst, Massachusetts], with his signature.

New York: C.M. Saxton, Barker & Co., 1860 This hard cover is a GOOD READING COPY only. 120pp bound in blind stamped green cloth with gilt lettering on spine. Lithographed title page reads " The Cranberry and Its Culture" with an additional 10 lithographic plates. Binding and hinges strong and tight, but the book is water stained throughout with light foxing on prelims.

London: Country Life / George Newnes, 1904 With the armorial bookplate of "T. H. Smith, Aystree, Broughty Ferry" [Dundee, Scotland], being Colonel T. H. Smith of the Black Watch, who built Aystree House, was Director of the Dundee High School for 35 years and the first President of its Old Boys Club. He was also on numerous Boards in Dundee, including being President of the Broughty Ferry Angling Club. Also includes a bookplate for A. M. Nairn of Lassintullich. xviii, 526pp, bound in red cloth, with binding and hinges tight, Includes the frontis-piece, illustrations, and plates throughout. Covers lightly sunned.

Athol, Mass.: Printed by The Transcript Press, 1981 [1], v, 109pp, bound in the original stiff paper covers, with the binding and hinges tight, appears to have been unread, illustrated throughout. Slight discoloration on the front cover where a label had been. NO LABELS, INSCRIPTIONS, NOR MARKING.

London: Hamilton, Adams & Co., 1885 317pp which includes the decorative title page, bound in 3/4 leather and marbled paper, raised bands on spine, with leather spine label intact, binding tight, spine wear/tear, back cover detached. Covers in Fair Condition, Interior in Very Good Condition, complete with 13 plates as called for. Interesting bookplate inside front cover "Ex-Libris / A. M. Nairn / Lassintullich" showing a photographic image of a Scottish estate on a lake.
