Softcover pamphlet in very good condition. 1937. 60 pages. Wraps show mild general wear, corners bumped, staples just beginning to show rust. Interior has no writing, marks, stamps or other vandalism. An above average copy of a scarce pamphlet. Surprisingly WorldCat shows no copies of the 1937 edition, only the 1955 update. Volume 6, number 4, 1984. Spine has a few creases at head and tail. Rear cover with half inch closed tear at base of spine. Modest dent to front bottom corner affecting about half of pages. No interior markings, folds or other flaws. Please see images of the magazine you will receive. Issue #24.

Vol II No 3. Volume 2, #3. Autumn 1979. Interior is fine. Exterior has shelf wear and minor creasing. Issue #7.

Softcover pamphlet, 1933, 80 pages in very good condition. There is mild to moderate rippling to bottom of many pages consistent with water but there is no staining (see scans). Wraps are very good with some scuffing. Author wrote several pamphlets of this nature so this is one of a series. Notable for photos of bodies in motion. Very interesting material. Worn but complete issue. Articles by Nordhoff (on California), Trollope and Thackeray make this collectible. But article I found most fascinating was "The German Gambling Spas." Describes the luxurious experience of gambling away every cent and then doing yourself in (see scan). Vivid descriptions and illustrations of the crowd and various games of chance. Volume is poor with much staining but complete. Article by Lady Belcher about the history of Pitcairn is what make this collectible. She authored a book about Pitcairn. She is stepdaughter of Captain Peter Heywood, one of the Bounty mutineers. She was briefly married to Edward Belcher. I found the most interesting article in magazine to be "Bowery, Saturday Night." A vivid depiction of doings in New York. An image of the table of contents is provided. There is likely to be an article of interest for nearly everyone. Eight plate pamphlet with illustrations taken from a larger work. Condition is good, wraps are separated about 2 inches at top of spine, wraps show moderate general wear. The interior is near fine, no markings, creases or vandalism. This pamphlet is uncommon: WorldCat (#30674379 and 40680914) shows 6 copies and search shows none for sale. This series was a precursor to the Frank Netter series (Netter worked with this publisher in the early 1930's). The larger work this comes from has exactly one copy on WorldCat (955413799). It is possible the pamphlet was published before the larger work. Publishers sometimes put out these pamphlets as the plates became available in order to promote the upcoming work. Medical ephemera. Like new. Includes the ephemeral glassine decorative dust jacket in archival dust jacket. Jacket is semi-transparent. Incredible photos. Pristine. First scan is without dust jacket. Second scan is with dust jacket.

Magazine issued for the annual Inter-Tribal Ceremonial in Gallup, New Mexico. I believe there was one issue per year from 1990-1998. A scarce item. At the time of listing I found none for sale and only one copy in WorldCat / OCLC. Covers are made of heavy cardboard stock, covered by an opaque white dust jacket (attached to the cardboard), which is covered by transparent glassine paper (all as issued) now in archival cover. 10.5 x 8.25 inches. Contents are snippets of essays by known authors accompanied by erotic photographs. Not paginated. 60 pages plus blanks, complete as issued. Acetate cover is obviously fragile given the age but holding up surprisingly well. Text block slightly askance from boards but everything is sound. Interior has old pencil notation from prior seller; no folds, stamps, or writing. Overall very good or better. A scarce item suitable for collectors in this area. This pamphlet has two laid in adverts for another pamphlet "Life, trial, and confession of Sawtell" (AKA: Trial of Isaac Sawtell; AKA: History of the Murder of Hiram Sawtell by his brother Isaac Sawtell. American Tract Society pamphlet #33 circa 1855, New York. This pamphlet has inscription containing date, 1855. Numerous books and pamphlets with similar titles were produced by a variety of authors so there is understandably some confusion. I am reasonably confident this is the first American edition of this particular pamphlet. The Society frequently 'borrowed' material from the UK publishers so there may be earlier UK editions. The primary condition feature this pamphlet has going for it is that it still exists and is complete. As you can see from the images it is faded, stained, smudged and the cover is almost off. Paginates: (1)-32 pages including frontis. Notes: For those of you with bibliographic questions I suggest OCLC: 55129232 which is this exact copy but misdated (locates 2 copies).
