Stories of the Indian wars, not from the Indian point of view, however. Richly illustrated with drawings of Frederic Remington and others. Very little wear for a 75 year old book. Something was glues inside the front and back covers, but has been removed. Otherwise the book is intact and relatively undamaged.

Book shows no wear other than a little crimp at the base of the spine. Pages are clean, tight and bright. Dust jacket is also showing little wear, just a slight flaring along the top edges. Gift quality.

Set in North Africa during the Nazi occupation, two people are forced to stand in the way of the Germans acquiring a weapon of immense power. A page turner, for sure. Pages tight, clean. A few minor spine creases from being read. One little stain on the upper front cover (can you see it in the photo?). Generally in very nice condition. 341 pages.

A broad piece of tape runs down the spine, overlapping onto the front and rear covers by a fraction of an inch. Pages are clean, unmarked and fairly tight, although curling a little at the corners. I take liberties putting this in the Historical Fiction category, since the history is only ten years prior to the publication date. But when I tried to look up the genre on the internet, it came back: Novel. Not really helpful. seems the hero of this book has a thing for the works of Graham Greene, even becoming a correspondent with Greene. When he dies, she and her two friend decide to dive into the Algerian Civil Wat to save intellectuals from the Islamist extremists. I would imagine that didn't go quite as planned. So, it is a history novel without being all that removed from the history, a war novel of an unusual stripe, a romance with a dead writer, and, I guess, at times a bit funny. Trade paperback. Very little wear. A little price sticker residue on the front cover. 342 pages are clean, tight and bright. A soldier finds a picture of a smiling woman while on duty in Iraq. This photo becomes his lucky charm. Once back stateside, he goes in search of the woman in the picture.

Minor wear. A few chips along the edges. Spine is square and uncreased; pages are clean, tight and a bit yellowed. An accounting of the Biafra gemocide of the 1960s. A rare and highly valued book.

Trade paperback. Contains 59 essays of varying length, selected to illustrate a number of rhetorical concepts. These include Cause/Effect, Comparison/Contrast, Definition, Description, Division/Classification, Exemplification, Exposition, Narration, Persuasion/Argument, and Process Evaluation. I would be telling you here just how good the condition of this book is, with little external wear, no spine creases and clean, tight and unmarked pages. All that is true, but please take a look at the second photograph. note the wavy texture to the upper left corner in that photo. This is a spot where some water must have been spilled at some time. This has given the last 100 pages or so the waviness that come from paper that has gotten wet. The last 50 pages have the greatest impact, dwindling to just the extreme corner after that.
