Very little wear. 88 pages of Dave Barry's best advice. No, really, this is the stuff to base your love life on. I mean it, really!

Very little wear, almost like new, which is quite the thing to say about a book over 40 years old. Memoirs in the form of a series of humorous letters to Elmer, whomever that might be. Author is best known for his "Trolls of Norway" stories.

Red fabric covered boards with gilt print on the spine, showing very little wear and one small stain on the front. The pages are clean, tight and unmarked, except for the owner's name on the front endpaper. The endpapers are decorated with more of Searle's drawings, featuring Little Buttercup on the front and the Major General on the rear. The dust jacket is encased in mylar and shows no wear other than being price clipped. Text by Jeremy Hornsby, adapted from the animated feature, Dick Deadeye.

Book shows very little wear. Dust jacket is rather well cared for except a bit of tearing at the very top of the spine, visible in photo #3. This book contains over 1,000 jokes as well as advice on making a better speech. Probably a bit outdated, being 40 years old. (Jokes about the Gabor sisters don't work too well today.) Some would still get a laugh today, while others just need a bit of adapting. Could also serve as good reading material for the bathroom.

If you are at all familiar with Dilbert, then you probably have a good idea of Dogbert's management style. This book may not put you in the Fortune 500, but it should cause you great amusement. Here is one example: "When a manager pretends to care, an immediate bond will form with the employee. This bond can be used later to extract extra work for no pay."Book is in great shape with very little wear. Always remember, teamwork is when other people do your work for you.

First American edition. Translated from the original Italian. Dust jacket shows significant wear, with tears at all the corners and along the edges, and a piece missing from the rear lower right (see photos). Light green fabric covered boards with an embossed image on the front and gilt print and decoration stamped on the spine. The fabric is darkened along the top and bottom edges. Little other wear. The pages are clean, tight and unmarked, with many small illustrations by the author. A humorous collection of short stories from the little land of Don Camillo. Five hundred pages of the best of Art Buchwald from 1956 to 1977. Humorist, satirist, political commentator, thrice a week columnist, but he never made it onto Nixon's Enemies List. When I was a teen, on the days Buchwald's columns came out, the sports page took second place. This copy has been well preserved. The book shows very little wear, and the pages are clean, tight and intact. The dust jacket has a moderate number of small tears around the edges, none exceeding a centimeter.

Little wear. A collection of 18 things you can do with duct tape that even Red Green never thought of.

First edition, 156 pages. A collection of, as the title says, useless information. Page after page of little blurbs of trivia, organized into chapters for no apparent reason. There is even an index, in case you happen to be looking for a specific item of trivia. Pages show no real wear, but the front cover has two tears, a 2cm tear along the lower spine and a 1 cm tear at the opposite edge near the word "ATE". No spine creases.

First edition, first printing. Very little wear to the book or dust jacket. The pages are clean, tight and unmarked, with a few light spots on the top edge.. Number fifteen in the series that reached thirty last year.

This is an anthology of two books by this author, 2000 Insults for All Occasions and 2000 More Insults. I guess that means this book has 4,000 insults, all done without vulgarity. 416 deckle-edged pages, all clean, tight and intact. Very little wear. A random sampling:"He goes through life pushing doors marked "pull"."She once married a man for money. She divorced him for the same reason.""When he borrows money, not only is it against his principle to pay interest, but it is against his interest to pay the principal.""He needs a checkup from the neck up."

A somewhat irreverent history of the Hudson's Bay Company, commissioned upon their 300th anniversary and originally distributed on that anniversary to all of the modern-day employees of said company. This somewhat comic history is accompanied by Ronald Searle's extravagant and often satirical art work. The clipped dust jacket shows wear at the edges, including a small collection of tears, none over 1.5 cm. The plain paper jacket, decorated with more of Searle's art, is also a bit tanned, especially over the spine. The pages are clean, tight and unmarked, liberally illustrated with black and white drawings. The only color drawings are on the front of the dust jacket and on the title page. The book shows mild wear along the lower edge.

No dust jacket. A dryly humorous, while serious look into what people should do with all of their new-found leisure time. Considering that this book was published in the midst of the Great Depression, there's probably some subtle irony as well, as many people found themselves with far more loafing time than they might have desired. A quite rare book. Book shows some wear at the corners. Owner's name inside the front cover. Pages clean and tight. Black fabric covered boards with gilt print on front and spine.

Book with very little wear, Minor edge wear on the dust jacket. The author puts himself into situations most of us would never think of. Results somewhat humorous, as I am sure he intended.

Stated first edition. No dust jacket. Tan fabric covered boards show little wear, although the spine is cocked a little and the lower right corner of the front cover is bent slightly (see photo #3). Deckle-edged pages are clean, tight and intact. Owner's name inside the front cover. An autobiography of Mencken's childhood. Some of the chapters were previously published in the 'New Yorker Magazine'. A fairly rare book.

Book shows very little wear, dust jacket shows some. Original owner added a few features inside the front and back covers, in the form of clippings about the author. Seems this was her book the day she hosted the Albany, Oregon book club back in 1983. Owner's name is also inside the front cover and an inscription is taped to the half title page, on a Minnesota Public Radio card, of course. Fourth printing.

Trade paperback, 437 pages, plus 30 plus that happen before the story actually begins. An autobiography of the humorous, yet chaotic type.No significant wear, almost like new. Unless I get around to reading it first, in which case it would be almost like "almost like new".

Very little wear. 270 pages are clean, tight and bright. This is not June Cleaver's mothering advice. You don't know who June Cleaver is? Harriett Nelson? Oh, my.....

Dust jacket is price clipped. Book and jacket show little wear. A collection of over fifty brief and humorous insights into televised sports and the people who watch them.
