Spine panel slightly sun-faded, cloth is a little dim with handling (titling unaffected), generally sound (hinges excellent, etc.), otherwise clean, and entirely unmarked.

Chicago: Anit-Imperialist Student Organization, nd. Pamphlet. [3p]., 8.5x11 inches; faint toning, tiny burn-hole mark on right side of the left page, otherwise in very good condition. No date, but an article on tuition doubling from $75 to $150.

[Bay Area, CA]: Jewish Ad Hoc Committee Against Honoring Ariel Sharon, n.d.. Handbill. 8.5x11 inch handbill, neatly fold-creased. Protests against an unnamed Jewish organization in the Bay Area that held a ceremony honoring Ariel Sharon. (In the context in which the flyers were handed out, the organization must have been obvious.) Gives examples of unethical military conduct by Sharon, and concludes "that "Paying honor to a man like Ariel Sharon negates the principles which we Jewish people have revered throughout our history.

npl: npub, 2001. Pamphlet. Eight panel brochure, 4x10 inches; photos., maps, slight tear along one bottom fold, minor dampstain, else very good. Quotes from groups like Israeli Committee Against Housing Demolitions, and more activists.

Tel-Aviv: The Association of Israeli-Palestinian Physicians for Human Rights, 1992. Pamphlet. 39p., wraps a bit rubbed, 8x11.5 inch magazine wraps; slightly toned wraps, faint handling, else very good.

Philadelphia: Jane Addams Peace Association, 1979. Pamphlet. 48p., slight rust stain on front cover, otherwise in very good condition.

Chino CA: Chick Publications, 1972. Pamphlet. [22]p., 5x2.75 inch pocket-sized fundamentalist comic book tract, stapled wraps, lightly worn else very good condition.

Berkeley: Union of Jewish Students, 1973. Newspaper. Four issues of the tabloid format newspaper, all with horizontal fold; address label and postal markings. Issues present are April and Fall 1972, Fall and December 1973. Labor Zionist perspective, critical of Israel's settlement policy and treatment of Palestinians.

Jerusalem: Ben-Dor Israel Publishing Co. Ltd, 1955. Paperback. Respectively 129, xxvi, 127-280, xxiv, 281-398, xxiv. Matching small softbounds in upright paper covers (6.5x3.5 inches), diverse monochrome colors for each installment. Later issues were bound together in a singleton booklet. Our set, a second printing and two firsts, are edgeworn with faint abrasion to outer joints. These volumes are quite sound but the text paper is acidic, toned, and beginning to get fragile. We detect a line of penciling to terminal leaf of v.I, else good copies of this complete set, all in about the same shape.

Ten issues of the tabloid format newspaper, all with horizontal fold; some with address label and postal markings, one with corner clipped to remove a stamp, otherwise very good. Issues present are Spring, Winter and October 1971, January, April, and Fall 1972, Winter, Fall and December 1973, and December 1975. The original recipient has penciled brief notes like "Leftist + pro-Arab" on a couple of issues. Labor Zionist perspective, critical of Israel's settlement policy and treatment of Palestinians.

New York: Bloch Publishing Co, 1955. Paperback. 151, [4]p., wraps, light handling wear, else very good condition.

London: [Sold at G. Riebau's], 1794. Paperback. 108p., 4.75x8 inches; disbound, light foxing and soil throughout, some slight chipping, minor pencil notation on title page. Good. Believing his calling to serve Christianity was at odds with serving the Navy under the Church of England, Brothers became financially unstable and labored in a workhouse. Through this work, he began to believe himself to a be a prophet who received proclamations from an angel. Among other beliefs, Brothers thought that he had a special mission as Prince of the Hebrews, a descendant of the Biblical House of David, to gather the Israelites of London and bring them back to Palestine. He was arrested for treason in 1795 and imprisoned as criminally insane. The first book in this set is considered the first British Israelite publication. This particular book shares his visions for the fate of the English monarchy.

Pawtucket, RI: Elska Magazine, 2023. Magazine. 180p., 6x8.25 inches, second edition, erotic nude and semi-nude color photos of young gay men, stories, attractive homophile magazine in trade paperback format, pictorial color wraps. Expanded second edition. Elska is a bi-monthly male photography, culture and travel publication. Each issue is shot in a different city with local boys and local stories, focusing on the beauty of imperfection and authenticity. It's part intellectual queer pin-up mag and part sexy anthropology journal, and it's totally made with love.

Tel Aviv: The Dvir Publishing Co, 1958. Portfolio. Eight numbered & titled drawings done in broad pen and pencil, enclosed in a 13.5x10 inch decorated cardstock portfolio that is fastened with staples. Plates are looseleaf (complete; as called for) with drawings shown on 11x7.5 inch sepia print-blocks. Prints are very good pace a touch of dust-soil to the wide margins, while the portfolio is abraded with scuffing, offset dust- and color-smudges and an odd puncture to graphic; luckily the same image turns up amongst the eight near-pristine ones. Item came to us with mucilage blots where an isingglass sur-wrap was pasted on; this onionskin-type wrapper was badly mutilated and (by us) discarded. A fair-to-good exemplar.

Detroit: Solidarity, 2001. Pamphlet. 27p., stapled wraps, on corner clipped off, 8.511 inches, light handling wear, else very good condition. Second printing.

Tel Aviv: Communist Party of Israel, Central Committee, 1970. Pamphlet. 46p., no illustrations, softbound in 8.5x5.5 inch plain printed self-wraps. Paperstock slightly acidic and toned, spinefold of front cover a little sunned, a sound copy clean and unmarked within, a good to very good copy. Laid in is a letter to subscribers, mimeo'd on acidic construction paper, that is to those who did not respond to a previous notice re a change in rates, and might be wondering why the last several issues did not arrive.

Detroit: Solidarity, 2000. Pamphlet. 27p., stapled wraps, 8.511 inches, light handling wear, else very good condition. First printing. Corrected version of pages 15/16 laid in as issued.

Tel Aviv: Tel Aviv Museum of Art, 1997. Paperback. [2], 35, [3]p., illustrations, wraps. 9.5 x 7.75 in. Reads right to left. Text in Hebrew and English. Presentation inscription to R.B. Kitaj. Scarce catalog of artists' books produced between 1987 and 1996, with work from over a dozen artists, including Marina Abramovic, Ed Ruscha, and Micha Ullman. Samuel's presentation inscription on a yellow ruled sticky note to Ronald Brooks Kitaj, inserted on the final leaf, offering condolences and offering to work on a "book of etchings." With an essay by Edna Moshenson, "Exhibiting My Library." Published in conjunction with an exhibition at Jeanette Assia Galleries, April - July 1997.
