Pamphlet. 35p., presswork on mildly acidic paperstock, softbound, a pamphlet staplebound in 9.5x6.5 inch plain printed wraps. Quite worn; spinefold is abraded with a short split, the whole dusty and edgeworn with pressure marks and a tiny dot of stain on blank back cover, paper toned, some small dog ears, one pressure mark has dented a dozen leaves. Reading copy: generally sound otherwise, generally clean, no written marks.

Cairo: Egyptian S T A., 1954. Paperback. 87p., appended tables (another 25p.), rubricated captions and decorations on newsprint, softbound in 7.5x5.5 inch booklet wraps. The newsprint text paper is partially alkaline and not too toned, cover is clean and unmussed, a very good copy. Contents deal solely with matters Egyptian; the cover blurb appears to have been executed for a 1954 American Society of Travel Agents convention in --where else? where many of us have left our hearts: cable cars, shopping carts, bars bars bars.

Buenos Aires: Instituto de Historia Militar Argentina, 2003. Trade Paperback. 303p., one of 500 copies, wraps, a fine clean copy. Written by a colonel in the Argentine infantry.

Ottawa: Dominion Bureau of Statistics, 1968. Pamphlet. 63p., 9x6 inches; price sticker on front wrapper, previous owner's name penned on title page, else in very good condition. 1961 Census Monograph Programme.

[v]299p., preface, introduction, appendixes, bibliography, index, tables, chapter endnotes, brown tape on tail of spine otherwise good first edition trade paperback in wraps. Politics and Public Policy series, Robert L. Peabody, editor.

Paperback. 148p., tables, reports and a few dim snapshots printed on semicoated and slightly acidic paperstock, sewn signatures softbound in 7.5x5 inch plain printed wraps. Both covers severely torn along the joints with a transverse tear developed one inch across the front; textblock toned but sound; there are a few spotty stains. Complete and handleable, a reading and reference copy. F.y.i., about three quarters of the material are tabled data, names, addresses; of the written reports several are passionately written.

Mexico D.F.: Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, 1979. Paperback. 274p., paperbound in 8.5x5.5 inch wraps; cover has corner creasings and mild signs of handling, previous owner's name penned on front blank, text is faintly toned and bears a few marginal tics and one underline. Sound and otherwise clean, a good reading copy.

From p.6: "In everyday Hungarian usage, the term Csango refers to the Magyars living in Moldova, the Gyimes mountains and the Barcasag. The same ethnic title is applied to the Seklers who fled from Seklerland to Bukovina in the 18th century and were later repatrated inside the Carpathian basin (to Deva in 1892 to Trans-Danubia in 1945)." ..Well, enough of THAT; there's line-dancin' to-night!
