Illustrated throughout in color with photos of the food and reproductions of Italian art. Quarto (~10" x 13.5"), color-printed boards (same images as on DJ), end papers color-printed with Giovanna Garzoni still life, glossy stock for pages, wear to corners, unmarked. Pretty little booklet features the Welsh bardic and other traditions, ending with recipe for wassail. 4-1/2" x 6-1/4", stapled in decoratively patterned self-wraps, "Nadolig Llawen i chwi" ("Joyous Christmas to you!") printed on front, holes in wraps at the staples, tear up the crease above top staple repaired with tape from inside, tan stain near top of p. 12-17. High-quality mass-market paperback, scant wear to edges, diagonal creases to a few pages, edges/page margins age-tanned. Yellow highlighting observed on five pages.

This is the first American edition of the translation by Eric Posselt and includes an authorization paragraph from the DoJ Office of Alien Property.
