Helsinki: Schildts, 1995. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Fine/Fine. Jansson, Tove. Printed in the Swedish language. A lovely copy of this very hard-to-find selection of Tove Jansson's illustrations, caricatures and cartoons for the celebrated Finnish satirical magazine GARM. By 1946 Tove Jansson had become the journal's chief illustrator, having been a contributor since her teenage years. Commentary for the illustrations is provided by Erik Kruskopf. pp. 159, including several full-page colour plates. The book and dustjacket are in exceptionally Fine condition. A rare item, much more difficult to find than original issues of Garm itself!

London: Folio Society, 1998. Hardcover. Fine. A reprinting (1998) of the 1992 Folio Society Edition, illustrated in colour by Paul Cox. Pictorial cloth gilt, pp. 315. Trivial bumps but a Fine clean copy in Fine, clean slipcase.

London: The O'Shea Gallery, 2003. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good. Corners, board edges and spine tips bumped/rubbed a little but otherwise a nice clean copy. Laminated illustrated boards without dustjacket as issued. Inscribed to a previous owner by name by the author/artist at the title page, "with very best wishes".

London: Penguin Books, 1990. 1st Edition . Soft cover. Near Fine. First & later printings. Alex III is the first printing, the other two titles are later printings. An excellent set - each book has been signed by both Peattie & Taylor at the half-titles and in addition the slipcase is also signed by both. Each book is near fine clean condition with just minor wear here and there to the glossy pictorial wrappers. The illustrated card slipcase is a bit battered and grubby. Vintage Alex, now becoming hard-to-find from this era.

Published in 1980 to coincide with popular BBC dramtatization. Bumped and worn at the spine tips but in reasonable shape, about VG in price-clipped dustjacket
