Olive cloth publisher's binding shows shelf and handling wear with abrasion to the embossing as well as edge, corner, and spine wear. All corners bumped and worn. Covers are dented and scratched. Good Housekeeping Institute, 1929. Poor. Binding is in tatters and and some pages have become detached. All pages appear present but the interior shows heavy signs of use (in the form of liquid spills). Remarkably there are no ownership marks of any kind (other than the food). Interesting insight into another era with helpful advice on how to set the table for a Buffet Luncheon (just in case you've forgotten), the importance of school lunches (salmon salad is recommended for high school students), and it even includes a helpful list of kitchen equipment which, mysteriously, includes a monkey wrench. DJ is intact but shows discoloration, rubbing, tears, and is missing pieces along the edges and spine; there is a bookseller's sticker on the back panel. Large crease across upper back corner; crease down spine. Profusely illustrated with photos and artwork. Overall, a good copy of an EXTREMELY SCARCE epic poem of the Chicano Movement in America. Warner Books, 1975. Mass market paperback. Used - good condition. Book shows external signs of shelf wear, use, and age: there are several small creases on the front and back covers, the spine is creased, and the top of the spine is slightly compressed. Front and back covers have some smudging and scuffing around the edges. Interior of book is clean, tight, and unmarked except for a price stamp from the previous seller on the front testimonials page. Pages 15-32 have a short horizontal crease starting at the fore-edge and the pages of photographs are slightly wrinkled at the top corner; in either case, readability is not affected.
