Signed. First Edition. At least 200 full page photos of cowboy boots. Every kind of cowboy boots you can imagine plus lots of information and stories. This is also a very small coffee table book, perfect for tiny houses. Book is in fine, unread condition. The jacket has a wrinkle at the top corner and some separation of the plastic coating on the back, thus near fine. Inscription says ""Every Happy Trail Starts With a Single Step. Jennifer June".

Many archival photos and maps of Dallas, Texas from 1839 to 1925. Extremely well researched history with an introduction by the late A C Greene, an important Dallas historian. Everybody from Dallas should spend some time with this book. The book is near fine condition. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just hard to grade a 44 yr. old book as fine. The corners are square, the pages are clean and unmarked and there is very little shelf wear. The author has signed on the title page (no inscription).

Beginning in 1842, the author tells the stories of women of Dallas Texas, it is exhaustively researched. Vivian Castleberry was an editor with the Dallas Times Herald for 28 years and has written numerous books on Dallas history. She is a founder and/or member of numerous organizations, she won a lot of awards and is in the Texas Women's Hall of Fame. The book is 500 pages with another 24 pages of indexes. The book is in near fine/fine condition, The dust jacket has moderate shelf wear especially at the top of the spine. Inscribed and signed by author.

The Honorable Douglas Lang served on the 5th Circuit Cour of Appeals in Dallas, Texas for 16 years. The title is self-explanatory. It is inscribed to "Jim", it is from the library of the late Jim Cowles who had been described as one of the best attorneys in Texas. Jim Cowles was well known for mentoring young attorneys. The inscription speaks for itself. This is a fine association copy. The book is in fine, like new condition.

Over 550 archival photographs illustrate the history of Jews in Texas. The lives, families, businesses, clubs and institutions of Texas Jews. From scholars and rabbis to slave owners, merchants and streetwalkers. It's all in there in this well researched, exhaustive study of the subject. The late Ruthe Winegarten wrote at least 7 books about Texas History. Her co-author, Cathy Schechter is a freelance writer, she's won a lot of awards. The book is in near fine condition with square, unrubbed corners and clean, unmarked pages. The previous owner has written 6 lines of genealogical information on the inside cover. The dust jacket, likewise, is in near fine condition with slight wrinkling at the top front and back cover. The book is inscribed to the Rachofsky family, of Dallas. Author Winegarten has inscribed and signed on the title page.

Catalogue for an exhibition at the DeGolyer Library at Southern Methodist University. "A Foreign Land is a Step Away". Color reproductions of advertising, postcards and handbills touting Mexican travel and placed in a historical context. Softcover book is in near fine condition. No issues, just lightly read. Book is inscribed to David Weber, expert on Mexico and the Southwest and professor of History at SMU. Laid in in an invitation to the opening reception of the exhibit and a copy of an email sent to Weber regarding the book. The author has dated, inscribed and signed on the half title page.

Inscribed to Francis Jenkins Pickens, noted alumnus and internationally famous jeweler and metalworker on the occasion of the centennial of the University and the commemoration of the career of Cora Stafford, founder of the School of Visual Arts. The late Francis Pickens was named Distinguished Artist of Hawai'i and is shown at the Smithsonian, as well as internationally. Book and jacket are near fine with only light toning and shelf wear. The book is signed 'Francis' the front free end page with a non personal inscription. On the half title page the book is inscribed to Pickens by the late Brig. General Alfred Hurley, Chancellor of the University, and by Jack Davis, Dean of the School of Visual Arts.

Flat Top Ranch was started in 1938 by Charles Pettit who ended up with 17,000 acres of worn out farmland and planted native grass. 25 years later it paid off and it's a model of grassland conservation. The book and jacket are in fine, like new condition. The book is inscribed to a Dallas attorney, oilman and land investor who comes from a farming family. The book is inscribed and signed by Louis Beecherl on the front free fly leaf.

The story of Patsy and Raymond Nasher and their world class collection of contemporary sculpture which is shown at the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas, Texas, as well at the NorthPark shopping mall, which they own. The book has 98 pages of text a few photos of the Nashers and another 50, or so, plates of the sculpture collection. Laid in is an invitation to the book publishing at the Sculpture Center. The author was the director of Dallas Public T V station KERA during its formative years. His wife is well known photographer Laura Wilson, and his sons, Andrew, Owen and Luke are actors. The author has signed on the front flyleaf "Best Wishes, Bob Wilson"

Reverend W.A. Criswell of the First Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas, presents a dramatic exposition of Paul's epistle to the Galatians. The book's cover and binding are in excellent condition though there is underlining and a few notes. The jacket is chipped with small tears at the corners and is faded at the spine. The book is inscribed to a parishioner and signed with a bible verse on the front free end page.

Signed. First Edition. Profile of Dallas' first important artist, Frank Reaugh. He surrounded himself with students, who called themselves the Frank Reaugh Art Club and they went out on sketch trips to West Texas. The book contains the rare booklet "Prose Sketches - 24 Hours with the Herd", which is printed in it's entirety starting on page 113. The book has only a slight bump on the spine tail and is Near Fine. The dust jacket has 75% paper loss on the spine and is chipped all around, but it's still in one piece: Listed as Good. I have an original copy of "Prose Sketches - 24 Hours with the Herd", listed in my online store. The book is signed by both authors on the front free end page (no personal inscription).

The first edition was published in 1985 with a printing of 250 copies. The book is in unread condition. There is very minor shelf wear and is listed as near fine. the author has signed on the title page (no inscription).

Greene, architecture author Kim Williams and 2 others. Book is in fine, like new condition. The dust jacket either has some fading on the spine, or it was printed that way. In any case book and jacket are in excellent condition. All 8 signatures are on the half title page (no inscription). Shipped padded and boxed.

Signed. Born in 1875, Forest McNeir moved to the Galveston Bay area and did a bunch of stuff; oystering, selling cow hides, until he landed in the construction business. He wrote the book when he was 80, for the benefit of his children. The book is in great shape, the corners are crisp, and the spine is not sun damaged or rubbed. It's a little dusty and a little cocked, but the pages are clean and unmarked. The dust jacket is rough; it has chips, tears and stains all around, but it's intact; it did its job. The author has inscribed, dated and signed the book on the half title page. This book has been reprinted, but this is the 1956 edition.

Signed. First Edition. Fine/fine. Ft. Chadbourne was established in 1852 as an Indian fort on the Texas frontier. It's in Coke County, north of San Angelo, in west central Texas. The family that owned the land fixed it up and got a Preservation Award. Book and jacket are in like new, unread condition. Laid in is a fold out brochure about the fort and Ann Pate's business card as head of the Fort Chadbourne Foundation. Ms. Pate has signed on the front free end page (no inscription).

Founded in 1911, way on out in a field of Johnson grass, north of the young frontier town of Dallas, SMU went from a small religious school to a prestigious sectarian university. The late Marshall Terry was known in Dallas as the unofficial historian of SMU. He was the chair of the English Dept. and a professor emeritus and a member of the Texas Institute of Arts and Letters. The book contains several essays by his colleagues. The author has signed on the title page (no inscription). The dust jacket is protected in mylar.

The story of Justice Felipe Reyna from a child of illegal immigrants in Texas to justice of the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. The book is very good condition.
