Record Research Inc., Menomonee Falls, WI, 1989. 9.5" X 6.25" in heavy paper covers with large metal spiral binding. Minor shelfwear: about VERY GOOD or better condition. This is a useful and interesting book for anyone interested in popular music or the recording industry. It is also well thought out and easy to use. If one wanted to know what was the number one song of - say - June 17, 1973, one would flip to the page for June 17 (there is a page for each day of the year) and look along the left hand margin for 1973. The answer is "MY LOVE" by Paul McCartney and Wings. The listing also indicates that this song was #1 for 22 days at that point. There is also an alphabetical list of songs in the back of the book. 378pp + 5pp of publisher's ads.. 1st Edition. Soft cover. Very Good/No Jacket.

B. Schott's Sohne, Mainz, 1900. 13.5" X 11" in elegantly marbled boards with leather spine and corners. Edges and endpapers also marbled. Top 1" + chipped off spine, less from bottom of spine; heavily rubbed and cracking along edges of spine, but binding is still holding together OK. Even with all the cosmetic issues, this is still quite a handsome book. Pages are very clean and unmarked. I can find no publishing date, but it would appear to have been published some time in the last quarter of the 19th century. This is Wagner's Rheingold adapted by A. Heintz to be played on 2 pianos. The music is VERY VERY challenging. 215pp!. Limited Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket.

G. Schirmer, NY, 11.5" X 8.75" in pebble grain maroon leather with gilt lettering. Heavy rubbing along edges and top of spine, corners. Binding is sound; pages are clean and fresh-looking. GOOD PLUS to VERY GOOD MINUS condition. This book appears to have been bound some time in the mid to late 19th century. There is no publishing date. The contents were probably published loose and the binding was commissioned by the owner. The name K.C. Griswold is stamped on the front cover. 304 pp of VERY challenging piano music for this opera w/ libretto in German and English.. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket.

B. Schott's Sohne, Mainz 13.5" X 11" in marbled boards with leather spine and corners. Beautifully marbled endpapers and edges also. Top 2.5" of backstrip missing. Heavily rubbed and abraded at corners and along spine edges. Front hinge is cracking, but still holding on. Wagner's Walkure rendered into 297pp of (very challenging) piano music. I find no publication date at all, but probably before 1900. The music looks LITHOGRAPHED to me.. Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket.

Washington Records This is an LP phono disc in excellent condition containing - The Burning o' Auchendoun; The Banks of Green Willow; Bessie Bell and Mary Gray; Bold Sir Rylas; Captain Wedderburn's Courtship; Captain Ward and The Rainbow; Dives and Lazarus; The Cruel Mother; Lord Thomas and Fair Eleanor; Lord Thomas and the Fair Annet. Publishing date unknown, but probably early 1960s. Comes with 8pp introductory pamphlet. Sleeve has initials top right corner and small stain lower right corner.. No Binding. Near Fine/Good.

Various, 1910. 13 3/8" X 10 1/4" in dark blue leather. The covers are scuffed and abraded especially at spine ends and corners. Hinges are "iffy" but still holding. This is an interesting collection of songs bound together by Martha Beatrix Bacon [Later - Mrs. George Whitney] while she was in Paris just after the turn of the 20th century. There are 33 songs: a vocal part along with very challenging piano accompaniment. The sheet music is bound in along with the various covers. Some of these cover sheets are fairly plain, while others are colorful. Several have Art Nouveau designs. The music was published between 1898 and 1909. The owner's name and "1909 - 1910 Paris" are on the flyleaf. Miss Bacon's bookplate is inside the front cover. ONE OF A KIND ITEM.. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket.
